CAMWS

About

A regional association with a long memory.

Founded in 1905, CAMWS brings together teachers and scholars of Greek and Latin across a broad region of the United States and Canada.

The Classical Association of the Middle West and South exists to support the study and teaching of the languages, literatures and cultures of ancient Greece and Rome. Its members teach in schools, colleges and universities, research independently, and study at every level.

Through The Classical Journal and Teaching Classical Languages, through its annual spring meeting, and through awards and outreach, CAMWS has helped generations of classicists find colleagues and an audience for their work.

Why a new digital experience?

Graduate students and early-career researchers expect clear, mobile-friendly ways to join, register and submit work. This concept explores how CAMWS could keep its scholarly character while making those tasks feel effortless.
